Flex-o-thene Plastics (Pty) Ltd. commenced business in 1971. We are a manufacturing company involved in the extrusion, printing, laminating and conversion of flexible plastic packaging material.
In 1985 Flexothene moved into bigger premises in a new modern factory in Phoenix Industrial Park. The business has grown consistently over the years and this necessitated 4 extensions to the factory. Today the factory comprises of over 15000 square metres of area under roof.
Over the years new equipment has been purchased on a regular basis which has enabled the company to remain at the forefront of technology in the plastic packaging industry.

Quality has been the primary focus and to this end the company acquired the ISO 9002 certification in October 1997.
The Quality Management System of Flexothene Plastics (Pty) Ltd is based on the principles of ISO 9001: 2008. Flexothene was accredited to ISO 9001 in 1997 and ISO 22000 in 2013 in order to conform to internationally acceptable food safety standards.
The management and staff of Flexothene are committed to conforming and adhering to the requirements at all times. We believe that adhering to these requirements will facilitate and assist us in striving towards creating and maintaining the type of ethos, work ethic and company culture that has always been our aim.
